Tournament Preview - Zurich Classic of New Orleans

Hello members,

This week we move to New Orleans for a team event.  Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele are back to defend their title and take down the combined $2.485m prize. The entire purse is $8.6m. 

The format is a bit unique on the Tour with alternating Four-Ball and Foursome play.  To refresh your memory, Four-Ball is both players play their ball to entirety and record the best score per hole.  For Foursomes, one player will tee off on all odd holes and the other player tees off on even holes.  After the tee shot, the team plays alternating shots until holed and record that score. Should be a fun week!

LIV Golf has an event this weekend in Adelaide, Australia.  They have created a "replica" of the 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale and dubbed it The Watering Hole. We'll see if Brooks Koepka and Phil Mickelson can stay hot after their Masters finishes.  Oh, and Greg Norman is running his mouth saying he has a long list of golfers ready to join LIV.  Only time will tell if that's true.

Some heat and potential storms but overall should be a very pleasant four days for golf.

Hard to pick against the reigning champs with this field, but there's no way I'm betting on Cantlay at this point.  It's the principle.Tee times start at 8:00am EST.

• TPC Louisiana is a Pete Dye designed course built in 2004.

• The course will play 7,425 yards long and Par 72.

• We, the public, can play here! There are annual passes (up to $4,200 up front) or on a specific day (up to ~$300 per round).

• The signature hole is the Par 5 18th. There is water lining up the right side and it's an epic finishing hole.
