Round 3 Recap - Zurich Classic of New Orleans

Hello members,

Four-balls today brought some low scores, as expected. Beau Hossler / Wyndham Clark retake the lead after firing 62. Teams that also shot 62 - Fitzpatricks, Im / Mitchell, and Vincent Norman / Matthias Schwab. 63 was also a popular score today shot by Matthew NeSmith / Taylor Moore, Nick Hardy / Davis Riley, Harris English / Tom Hoge, Billy Horschel / Sam Burns, MJ Dauffe / Erik van Rooyen, and Byeong Hun An / S.H. Kim. Like I said, scores were low lol.

Alternate shot tomorrow should bring some necessary drama. Can Hossler / Clark hold on to their one shot lead? Will Sungjae Im / Keith Mitchell go low to win? Someone from a few back play their 🍑 off to take it down? Only time will tell. Onto Sunday we go!

Another perfect day for golf. No rain in the forecast, sun and light clouds, and temps between 59 and 78.

My pre-tournament picks:

  • Billy Horschel / Sam Burns - +4000 - 63 today to move into T10 and six shots back. Going to need a low score tomorrow while others blow up.

  • Si Woo Kim / Tom Kim - +8000 - 64 today, so not bad, but not low enough to be liked in Vegas. Seven shots back from the leaders.

  • Matt Fitzpatrick / Alex Fitzpatrick - +3500 - shot 62 today to move into T7 and five shots back from the leaders.
