Round 2 Recap - Zurich Classic of New Orleans

Hello members,

Alternate shot was a doozy today. Defending champs, Patrick Cantlay / Xander Schauffele, balled out today with a 63 to move into T4. Their 63 is the lowest round in history for an alternate shot format. Round 1 leaders, Wyndham Clark / Beau Hossler, retained their lead by shooting 67. Doc Redman / Sam Ryder and Sungjae Im / Keith Mitchell are one shot behind at 15-under.

The cut was 10-under. John Daly and David Duvall unfortunately won't make the weekend. Alternate shot got the best of them today with their 83. Sad. Round 3 is back to four-balls aka best ball.

I have to admit. Either the LIV Australia event is really poppin', or they are on a social media blitz to make it seem that way. Seems like the whole city is attending. Maybe LIV is onto something overseas?

Perfect day for golf tomorrow. Sun, high of 79, and low of 60. Exactly the type of golf weather everyone wants.

Updated Betting Odds

My pre-tournament picks:

Billy Horschel / Sam Burns - +3000 - T20 after a 69 today. Dropped a bit from Round 1.
Si Woo Kim / Tom Kim - +3500 - T20 after shooting 67 today. Gotta keep that momentum going for moving day.
Matt Fitzpatrick / Alex Fitzpatrick - +8000 - T20, also. Shot 71 today. Alternate shot was no bueno for the Fitzys dropping from T3 after Round 1.

I promise this is a serious take:
Nothing makes me understand why players go to LIV better than Sihwan Kim. Dude has beat zero players this SEASON, and won’t this week. Opened w a 10 today. In last by 8. If he finishes last in every event he will make $2.8 million.
