Sungjae was never a doubt winning 8&6, while Rahm was upset by Rickie. More pool play tomorrow.

Wednesday Night Recap - WGC Dell Match Play

Most matches ended as expected with the higher seeds taking care of business. Scottie beat Davis Riley 1 up, Xander beat Cam Davis 4&3, Rory defeated Scott Stallings 3&1, Spieth beat Mackenzie Hughes 4&3, and Homa beat Justin Suh 3&2.

Biggest blowout of the day belongs to Sungjae Im. He whooped Maverick McNealy 8&6.

Some surprises were Jon Rahm losing to Rickie 2&1, Will Zalatoris losing to Andrew Putnam 3&2, and Viktor Hovland losing to Matt Kuchar 3&1.

Cameron Young balled with a 27 on the front nine with all 3s (seen below). Shame we could see him finish his round with a career low since they ended on 16. Willy Z was struggling with his putter and things don't look good... eeks. Rickie needs a big week this week to make it into the Masters, and with his win over Rahm, it's off to a great start. Jordan Spieth holed out to win his match on 15. And, finally, this weird fact about Keegan Bradley that he has played 10 matches at Austin Country Club with all matches making it to the 18th hole and zero wins. Such bad luck for him.
