Saturday Night Recap - Wells Fargo Championship
Hello members,
Today sure was moving day, and I’m not talking about the Kentucky Derby (hey-o). Wyndham Clark (-110 odds currently) birdied EIGHT holes today to shoot a bogey-free 63 to move into a solid lead. He’s at 16-under and has a two shot lead. He’s on fire so much that he’s driving over greens on Par 4s. He, also, hit 17 of 18 greens today, with his approach to 18 ending up on the fringe. Tough break but still must be nice. Xander Schauffele (+135 odds currently) played with Wyndham and shot 64 to be 14-under for the tournament. That group was in the zone, and they’ll play together again tomorrow.
The shot of the day was from Sahith Theegala going lefty, swinging hard, and ending up on the green. Sheesh.
Final round tomorrow. Can Wyndham hold on for his first win? We shall see.

A bit warmer tomorrow with the high of 81 and low of 65. A slight chance for some rain at 19%, but shouldn’t disrupt the round too long, if it happens.

My pre-tournament picks:
Max Homa - +10000 - 8-under for the tournament but his putter is getting hot so we’ll see!
Cameron Young - n/a - even for the tournament and out of contention.
Corey Conners - +25000 - 66 today and playing well going into tomorrow. 8-under for the tournament and need a load of birdies tomorrow to sneak out a win.

Wyndham Clark swings it like a top player in the world. Perfect positions. Ton of power. Great balance. Made 14 straight cuts coming into week. Now gets a chance to hold off Xander, Hatton, Scotty on a major golf course in front of a huge crowd. Should be a fun Sunday.
