Saturday Night Recap - Valspar Championship

Schenk keeps his lead by birdieing the 18th. Spieth and Fleetwood are only one back. Sunday, here we come!

Saturday Night Recap - Valspar Championship

Adam Schenk birdies 18 to lead by one shot over Jordan Spieth and Tommy Fleetwood. Fifteen players are within four shots so tomorrow could bring some fireworks! Sam Burns is currently seven back, so he'll need a low round plus everyone else stalling to three-peat. Very doubtful to happen. Jordan Spieth played very up and down today. Started off with an Eagle on No. 1 but then just had too many bogeys (5) and honestly not that many pars. We'll see if he can be more consistent tomorrow. He'll play with Schenk in the final group tomorrow teeing off at 1:40pm EST.

Marc Leishman holds the lead at the LIV tournament. Kinda wild the career arch for Bryson based on this tweet.

Weather

The storms held off during the day today, but wind really picked up. Should be much cooler tomorrow and a chance for some rain. Temps ranging from 47 to 62.

Updated Betting Odds

My pre-tournament picks:

  • Jordan Spieth - currently +250 - T2 and played really up and down today. A lot of birdies, bogeys, and some pars to shoot 69. Not liking he ended on a bogey but hopefully that doesn't sit with him too much tonight.

  • Justin Rose - +100000 - gonna need a miracle being 9 shots back.

  • Sam Burns - +20000 - same as Fleetwood except only 7 shots back.
