Saturday Night Recap - Valero Texas Open

Patrick Rodgers retains his lead by one over Corey Connors. Matt Kuchar had a terrible lip out for a hole-in-one and is in solo 3rd.

Saturday Night Recap - Valero Texas Open

Hello members,

Round 3 is complete with Patrick Rodgers retaining his lead at 12-under. He shot a 1-under 71 today in difficult conditions. The lowest score today was 4-under 68, shot by five golfers. Rodgers has held the 54 hole lead four different times but has yet to close out a tournament. Can tomorrow be the day to take down his first Tour win?

Corey Connors is in solo second one behind at 11-under and the odds on favorite at +175. Matt Kuchar is is solo third at 9-under and three back. Heartbreak on the Par 3 3rd hole where is tee shot did a full lip out and he had to settle for birdie.

Rose Zhang closed out the Augusta National Women's Amateur in extra holes. It was super rainy in Georgia today and the rain is likely to continue next week for the Masters :(.

LIV Orlando is going into its final round tomorrow with Brooks Koepka in the lead by 3. He's honestly in pretty good form and will try to keep this momentum going next week. The LIV golfers playing next week all had good first rounds in Orlando too.

Weather

Should be cloud cover and some sprinkles with warm temperatures from 66 to 89.

Updated Betting Odds

My pre-tournament picks:

  • Matt Kuchar - +700 - three shots back and third favorite. Going to need some birdies tomorrow to sneak it out.

  • Corey Conners - +175 - one shot back and the odds on favorite. Come on baby!

  • Adam Schenk - N/A - missed cut by one
