Friday Night Recap - Travelers Championship
Hello members,
Denny McCarthy followed up his 60 from yesterday with a 65 today to be 15-under for the tournament. He is now tied for the lead with Keegan Bradley, after Keegan goes 62-63. Denny and Keegan now hold the lowest 36-hole score at the Travelers since moving to the current course, TPC River Highlands They are two ahead of the 2019 winner, Chez Reavie. Scoring wasn’t as low as yesterday, but there was an 8-under 62 (Alex Smalley), four 63s, and eight 64s.
The cut ended up at 4-under. Some notable players missing the weekend:
Collin Morikawa - 74-63 - 3-under
Stewart Cink - 73-64 - 3-under
Max Homa - 72-65 - 3-under
Jon Rahm - 67-71 - 2-under
Tommy Fleetwood - 69-69 - 2-under
Billy Horschel - 72-71 - 3-over
Joel Dahmen - 73-76 - 9-over
With the weather expected tomorrow, groups will be threesomes and going off both Nos. 1 and 10. Tee times start at 10:50am EST.
