Tournament Preview - Farmers Insurance Open
From La Quinta to La Jolla, the Tour moves to Torrey Pines South Course this week. We start on a Wednesday, hence the Tuesday night preview email. Jon Rahm is the favorite at +450 and honestly, I don't see how he doesn't win if he keeps playing like he has. Some big names are in this tournament, like Tony Finau, Willy Z, Justin Thomas, Collin, Hideki, and Xander. PS Collin just signed with TGL. In non-PGA Tour news, the LIV tour released its 2023 schedule. You can find it here. Who knows how true this is but this tweet was buzzing for a bit. Back to the Farmers, the purse is $8.7m and the winner gets $1.56m. The marquee group to follow tomorrow on ESPN+ is Rahm, Thomas, and Finau teeing off at 10:40am PST. Should be some good scores this week, but Torrey also holds up and has a few tricks up its sleeves, like the rough. Let's tee off!

Course Information
Torrey Pines has two courses - South and North. The South Course is featured this week and is typically known as the championship course. Both courses are open to public, as Torrey Pines is run by the city of San Diego.
William P. Bell was the architect for all 36 and the courses opened for play in 1957.
Golf rates are great for citizens of city of San Diego - ranging from $30-$62 for the North Course and $40-$67 for the South Course. For the rest of us, the non-resident rate ranges from $84-$176 for North and $135-$278 for South.
