Thursday Night Recap - Tour Championship
Hello members,
Round one is complete. Scottie Scheffler started in the lead at 10-under and honestly was playing well until the back nine. He had two bogeys and a triple bogey on the Par 3 15th. It was his first triple bogey in the last 121 rounds. He ended up with a 1-over 71 and sits in solo 4th at 9-under.
There is a three-way tie at the top at 10-under between Keegan Bradley, Viktor Hovland, and Collin Morikawa. Keegan started at 3-under and finished with a 7-under 63 today. Viktor started at 8-under and shot a 2-under 68. Collin was on 🔥 with 11 holes with a score of 3 ended up with a career low 9-under 61. En fuego.
One Putts picks, Rory, Jon Rahm, and Matty Fitz, are all tied at 7-under. Rory, apparently, hurt his lower back earlier this week and was struggling on the range before his round. He had some grimaces during the round, also. We’ll see if he makes it through Sunday.
Onto Friday!
The lowest round of his career 👏
@collin_morikawa moves to solo second after a flawless round @TOURChamp.

JoAnne Carner is 84-years-old.
She just beat her age by 4 at the U.S. Senior Open.
Might suck down a Virginia Slim in her honor.

Time for my annual plea to move the Tour Championship to Bandon. First 3 days are stroke play at Trails, Old Mac and Pac. Top 8 move to match play (with top seeds picking opponent). Quarters at Sheep Ranch and Semis/Championship at Bandon Dunes. Any playoff goes to Preserve.
