Thursday Night Recap - THE PLAYERS Championship

THE PLAYERS lives up to the hype. Hole-in-one on 17, beautiful conditions, cramping, a 10 on hole 18, and a few big names towards the top. Play was suspended due to darkness (really just slow play) with 21 players left to finish. Gotta get this under control since it seems every tournament has this "issue", but I digress. Maybe daylight savings time this Sunday will fix it?

Collin Morikawa is in solo second after a 7-under 65. Chad Ramey is the leader currently at 8-under. His pre-tournament odds were +100,000 so would be a pretty big payday for him and any of his bettors. His current odds are +3300 if anyone wants to jump in.

Rory struggled to shoot a 4-over 76, even after this incredible shot. He needs a big day tomorrow to make the cut. Scottie shot 4-under 68 and is T6. Viktor Hovland and Jordan Spieth are 3-under and T12. Justin Suh is hot again this week; maybe he can keep it going. Could be in store for another stacked leaderboard with an underdog taking the title? Time will tell.

Weather

Storms on the docket for tomorrow. They should be coming in during the afternoon, so morning golf will be played fine. This storm is bringing a cold front so Saturday will be a bit cooler.

Chad Ramey moved from +100000 to +3300. Odds on favorite is Collin Morikawa at +350, Scottie in second at +500, and Rahm is third at +1400.
