Thursday Night Recap - The Open Championship
Hello members,
Round 1 is complete. Three are tied at the top at 5-under - Tommy Fleetwood, Emiliano Grillo, and amateur Christo Lamprecht. Tommy would be a great story this week, as he grew up about 30 miles away from Royal Liverpool.
The weather was pretty pleasant today, which should change the rest of the week. Rain is expected in the morning and evening, while clearing up midday.
Today included Viktor Hovland getting “shat” on, a Jordan Spieth shank, and great and terrible bunker shots galore.
Other notable scores include Scottie Scheffler (-1), Rory McIlroy (E), defending champ Cam Smith (+1), and Jon Rahm (+3).

Scottie Scheffler - +700 - 1-under 70 today to be T19. Not bad and only 4 shots back.
Rickie Fowler - +6000 - 1-over 72 and currently T48. Not good.
Jordan Spieth - +1600 - 2-under 69. T13 and looking solid, with the exception of a shank out of bounds on the front 9.
