Brian Harman has a FIVE shot lead going into Moving Day. Weather should worsen tomorrow. Can Harman hold on?
Friday Night Recap - The Open Championship
Hello members,
Is Brian Harman playing the same course as the rest of the field? He’s 10-under for the tournament and seems unstoppable at this point. Feels like we’re heading towards a Martin Kaymer Pinehurst U.S. Open or Tiger Woods Pebble Beach U.S. Open blowout here. We’ll see if he can keep it up through the weekend, and history is on his side. Harman leads Tommy Fleetwood by five strokes. Sepp Straka is solo third at 4-under and six behind Harman.
The cut ended up at +3. Scottie Scheffler and Cam Smith had to birdie 18 to make the cut. Scottie birdied and Cam eagled. So you’re sayin there’s a chance.
Notable players missing the cut:
Dustin Johnson - 13-over - 74-81
Denny McCarthy - 12-over - 76-78
Justin Thomas - 11-over - 82-71
Phil Mickelson - 9-over - 77-74
Talor Gooch - 7-over - 74-75
Tony Finau - 6-over - 73-75
Collin Morikawa - 4-over - 73-73
Keegan Bradley - 4-over - 70-76
Moving day tomorrow. Let’s see the shakeup on the leaderboard.
Brian Harman tied the 36-hole record in an Open at Hoylake today.
Two others share the mark.
Tiger won. Rory won.
Will Brian win?

Weather
Rain and wind and more rain and wind tomorrow. Should get spicy out there!
Updated Betting Odds
My pre-tournament picks:
Scottie Scheffler - +9000 - 3-over, made the cut on the number, and very un-Scottie-esque. Maybe a weekend move?
Rickie Fowler - +30000 - made the cut on the number. Meh.
Jordan Spieth - +1600 - 2-under and T7. Need some more birdies to catch Harman but definitely within striking range.

✂️ Scottie Scheffler has now made 23 consecutive cuts…
He only needs to make 5x that many cuts to pass Tiger Woods for the record (142) 😮💨 @TWlegion

Boy it’s nice to hear Scottie Scheffler hit a bad shot and say “how does this keep happening?”
Try saying that for a few years mate.
