Saturday Night Recap - The Honda Classic
We're back on track! Round 2 finished up this morning and Round 3 finished before 6pm EST tonight. YAY! Chris Kirk is in the lead at 13-under after a 66 today. Another golfer took off his polo to hit two shots today... Second golfer in two days. Shane Lowry had a good day today after a 5-under 65 to move into T4. Justin Suh falls to 3rd place after his even par 70, but did have a great hole out Eagle on 12. A Monday qualifier, Trace Crowe, had to chip in on his 36th hole of the tournament to make his first cut on Tour. ANNNND, he did it! It was awesome. Tee times start tomorrow at 6:50am EST going off in twosomes on Hole No. 1.
LIV teed off its first event of the year yesterday at Mayakoba outside Cancun, Mexico. I've seen some highlights, and call me crazy, but I find it weird watching pros play golf in shorts. Is it just me?
2,835 days since his last win on TOUR.
54-hole leader @Chris_Kirk_ looks to get back in the winner’s circle tomorrow @TheHondaClassic.

Having guys like Justin Suh and Chris Kirk battling for the lead is pretty much the best case scenario for non-designated events

Tour wars, cont’d: When Thomas Pieters arrived here in Mexico for his first LIV event he was informed that he had been dumped by his longtime agent Mark Steinberg, who had an underling deliver the news. “Weirdest thing ever,” Pieters told me. “He’s just gone.”
