Tournament Roundup - The Masters

Tournament Roundup - The Masters

Hello friends,

Whew, what a day. It started off sad with Tiger Woods withdrawing. Round 3 ended late morning with Brooks Koepka leading over Jon Rahm by a few shots. It really looked like a two horse race for the rest of today. It ended up being true even with a bunch of good golf played by other golfers. Amazing what happens when it's not upper 40s, raining, and windy.

Rahm took it home today! Wild to think he started with a 4-putt on his first hole of the tournament. He shot 69 today to end up 12-under to win by four strokes. He wins his first Green Jacket and $3.24m. Brooks just didn't have it today shooting 75 but still ended up in a tie for second place at 8-under. A few surprises were Phil Mickelson moving up the leaderboard today with a 66 to end up in T2 with Brooks. He was back to thumbs upping people, smiling, and bouncing around. Honestly, kind of nice to see. Jordan Spieth also moved up the leaderboard with his 67 and was paired with Phil. A group of golfers going low today! Two other highlights and one lowlight: - Sahith Theegala basically recreated Tiger's chip in on 16 from 2005 and it was epic. - Jordan Spieth had a whole mess of birdies today - 9 to be exact. He finished in - Pace of play was miserable by Patrick Cantlay. Come on man, gotta be quicker than that. It seemed like his playing partner, Viktor Hovland, was mad about it too lol.

Even with the weather, it was an incredible week, as always. Onto next week's RBC Heritage on Hilton Head Island, SC. Cheers, everyone!
