Hello members,
Thunderstorms delayed the first round by two hours. The course has received over 2 inches of rain since Monday, so preferred lies were played today. The good thing is the rest of the weekend looks perfect with a very, very little chance for rain.
Even with a soft course and preferred lies, 65 is the lowest score shot so far. The lead is held by One Putts pick Rory McIlroy and Brian Harman. They lead by one over Scottie Scheffler, Sahith Theegala, Chris Kirk, Wyndham Clark, Rickie Fowler, and Matt Fitzpatrick. This tournament is far from over.
Rory’s round included an incredible punch from the trees to over the green and then a chip-in. Sahith holed out for Eagle from 164 yards out. Can’t wait for more fireworks tomorrow!
